NBC and Peacock are poised to bring the high-octane action of Overtime's (OT7) high school seven-on-seven touch football league championship game to a national audience. This landmark broadcast represents the inaugural televised airing of the OT7 final, signifying a significant step in elevating the profile of this dynamic, modified version of football. The collaboration between Overtime, NBC Sports, and Peacock aims to captivate a broad viewership, introducing more fans to the exciting realm of youth football and its potential future stars.

The highly anticipated OT7 championship game is scheduled to unfold in California, with the specific venue yet to be announced. This event will be strategically presented and promoted in conjunction with the Navy All-American Bowl, a prestigious high school football all-star game that has been a staple of NBC Sports' broadcasting for over two decades. In addition to the championship showdown, selected playoff games from the OT7 league's championship weekend will also be aired. These games are slated for June 13-14, commencing at 2 p.m. ET, and will be accessible via both NBC and Peacock platforms, according to statements from Overtime officials.

OT7 offers a unique, fast-paced variant of touch football specifically designed for high school athletes. Despite the absence of traditional padding, full-contact play, and a reduced number of players on the field (seven per side), this modified game format has proven to be a fertile ground for nurturing future collegiate football talents. Many participants in OT7 also compete in conventional football during the autumn season, with OT7 serving as a supplementary academy focused on passing skills and strategic play. The league has already demonstrated its effectiveness in player development, with over 100 alumni from OT7 going on to play for prominent SEC and Big Ten teams in recent seasons, as reported by Overtime. Notable graduates of both OT7 and the Navy All-American Bowl include distinguished athletes such as Jeremiah Smith, an Ohio State wide receiver and a unanimous All-American in 2025; Oregon quarterback Dante Moore; and Keisean Henderson, a Houston quarterback commit, who stands as the top-ranked player in the 2026 class and the first underclassman to earn MVP honors at the Navy All-American Bowl.

The Navy All-American Bowl holds the distinction of being the most widely viewed high school sporting event across the nation. Throughout its 27-year history, with television coverage on an NBC Sports channel dating back to 2002, the Bowl has seen an impressive 630 of its alumni advance to play in the NFL. Earlier this year, in January, the Bowl forged a strategic partnership with Overtime, a sports-media enterprise and league operator with a keen focus on Generation Z. This collaboration encompasses various aspects, including sales, distribution, and the creation of original content, further solidifying the synergy between these influential entities in the youth sports landscape.

Marc Kohn, President of Content & Media at Overtime, emphasized the long-term vision behind this broadcasting agreement. He stated that this is not merely a singular broadcast event but rather the genesis of an enduring partnership between OT7, NBC Sports, and the millions of fans who follow these football properties. Kohn highlighted Overtime's commitment to crafting a compelling fan experience that fosters lifelong dedication to both OT7 and the Navy All-American Bowl. Gary Quinn, Vice President of Partnerships & Owned Properties at NBC Sports, echoed this sentiment, underscoring that NBC Sports' collaboration with Overtime's OT7 and its extensive social media presence provides an unparalleled national platform for the country's most exceptional high school football players. As the established home of the Navy All-American Bowl and now the OT7 Championship weekend, NBC Sports is poised to continue enhancing opportunities for these elite high school athletes and its corporate partners.

The telecast of the Overtime OT7 championship game on NBC and Peacock represents a significant milestone for high school seven-on-seven football, offering unprecedented exposure to a wider audience. This collaboration not only showcases emerging talent but also strengthens the connection between youth sports and major broadcast networks, promising an exciting future for this dynamic form of the game.
