The upcoming Version 7.0 update for the popular action RPG, Genshin Impact, promises to transport players to the long-awaited icy domain of Snezhnaya. This major patch will not only expand the game's world but also introduce a host of new playable characters and engaging content, significantly enriching the player experience. Understanding the rollout schedule and new features is crucial for travelers eager to delve into the next chapter of Teyvat's narrative.

Snezhnaya's Grand Opening: Maintenance and Release Schedule

The transition to Genshin Impact Version 7.0 will involve a period of server downtime for maintenance, followed by the official launch of the new content. Players should note the precise timing to prepare for the update and manage their in-game activities accordingly. The maintenance is projected to last approximately five hours, with the new version becoming accessible immediately thereafter.

Scheduled maintenance for Genshin Impact will commence on Tuesday, August 11th, or Wednesday, August 12th, depending on regional time zones. North American west coast players can expect downtime from 3 p.m. PDT on August 11th, while those on the east coast will see it begin at 6 p.m. EDT. Brazilian players will experience maintenance starting at 7 p.m. BRT on August 11th. In Europe, the U.K. will see maintenance from 11 p.m. BST on August 11th, and western Europe from 12 a.m. CEST on August 12th. For Asian and Oceanic regions, maintenance is slated for 7 a.m. JST on August 12th for Japan, and 8 a.m. AEST on August 12th for eastern Australia. Following this period, Version 7.0 is expected to go live at 8 p.m. PDT for North American west coast users, 11 p.m. EDT for the east coast, and 12 a.m. BRT for Brazil, all on August 11th or 12th. European launch times are set for 4 a.m. BST for the U.K. and 5 a.m. CEST for western Europe on August 12th, with Japan seeing the launch at 12 p.m. JST and eastern Australia at 1 p.m. AEST on the same day. While these are approximate timings, the developers generally adhere closely to these schedules, sometimes even finishing ahead of schedule.

Unveiling Snezhnaya's Secrets: New Characters and Events

Version 7.0 marks a significant milestone, finally taking adventurers to Snezhnaya, a region steeped in mystery and ruled by the Tsaritsa. This update will introduce players to a fresh array of characters and limited-time events, offering ample opportunities for exploration and rewards.

With the arrival of Version 7.0, the numerical patch scheme makes a return, signifying the monumental journey into Snezhnaya. Players will at last encounter the enigmatic Tsaritsa, who has been orchestrating events from behind the scenes. This expansion brings with it a diverse cast of new characters, including the five-star Cryo user Odette and the four-star Electro user Alyosha, both of whom will be available for players to recruit. Additionally, the Traveler will receive a new, winter-appropriate attire suitable for the frigid landscapes of Snezhnaya. Beyond character additions, the update features several limited-time events that will grant players valuable Primogems and essential upgrade materials. A highlight among these is the "Great Expeditionist Challenge," commencing on August 28th, which offers a coveted crown, a copy of Diona, and other special items as rewards, encouraging players to participate in the new challenges and immerse themselves in Snezhnaya's rich offerings.
