Phunware Inc., a leader in mobile enterprise software, is poised to make a significant impact at the upcoming Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) in San Antonio. The company plans to demonstrate its cutting-edge AI-driven guest platform while also announcing a key leadership appointment to bolster its sales division.

A major development for the company is the addition of Brent McMahan, a seasoned professional in hospitality technology, as their new Senior Director of Sales. McMahan joins Phunware after a distinguished tenure at FLYR Hospitality, where he spearheaded enterprise sales for AI-focused commercial solutions within the hotel and hospitality sectors. His expertise is expected to drive the adoption and growth of Phunware's innovative offerings. The company's existing AI Concierge module, launched in January 2026, has already surpassed internal engagement projections by approximately 40%. This feature provides guests with an intuitive natural-language interface for property navigation and amenity discovery, seamlessly integrating with Phunware's advanced wayfinding and mapping tools.

During HITEC, which runs from June 15 to 18, Phunware will unveil its new AI Itinerary Builder. This intelligent planning tool is designed to generate personalized recommendations for dining, spa services, and recreational activities, ultimately helping resort operators increase ancillary revenue. Furthermore, the company offered a preview of its forthcoming Location-Aware Data Layer. This innovative layer will unify the two AI tools, enabling real-time behavioral intelligence throughout the guest journey and directly linking digital guest interactions to tangible on-property revenue outcomes. CEO Dmitry Kroshka and Brent McMahan will represent Phunware at the conference, highlighting these advancements.

Phunware's commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence for enhanced guest experiences and increased operational efficiency in the hospitality industry is evident in these strategic moves. By continuously innovating and expanding its AI platform, the company is poised to redefine guest engagement and unlock new revenue streams for hospitality providers, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to technological integration and market leadership.
