The virtual world of Pokémon Pokopia is currently hosting a special event titled "Fetching Scales for Feebas", which began on August 13th and concludes on August 28th, 2026. This limited-time engagement introduces two Water-type Pokémon from the third generation and offers players a unique opportunity to enhance their game experience. Similar to previous in-game happenings, participants will encounter Feebas, who seeks a specific currency to help build new environments. This event serves as a gateway to obtaining the elusive Milotic, Feebas's impressive evolution.
To fully immerse yourself in the "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event and successfully evolve Feebas into Milotic, understanding the core mechanics is essential. The process involves collecting "Prism Scales," a special resource critical for acquiring event-specific items and constructing unique habitats. These habitats are not just aesthetic additions; they are necessary for attracting and housing Feebas and Milotic, making them central to completing the event's objectives. By following the outlined steps for starting the event, gathering the necessary scales, and utilizing them effectively, players can enjoy a rewarding experience and enrich their Pokémon Pokopia collection.
Embarking on the Feebas Event Adventure
To begin your journey in the "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event, players must first ensure they have reconstructed a Pokémon Center within the game. The event itself is active between August 13th and August 28th, 2026. Unlike some past events, time travel to an earlier date was not possible before the official launch. However, once the event started and an internet connection verified the date, players who missed the initial window can now revert their in-game time to participate. Upon logging in during the designated period, Feebas will appear outside the Withering Wastes Pokémon Center, initiating the quest for Prism Scales.
The central task for participants is to gather Prism Scales, which are vital for trading with Feebas to obtain exclusive event items and construct two unique habitats. These habitats are key to providing a suitable home for Feebas and attracting its evolved form, Milotic. Players acquire Prism Scales by exploring Dream Islands, accessed with the help of Drifloon via a special doll. Within these Dream Islands, specifically on beaches or sandy terrains, flat, pink, and blue shell-like items, which are the Prism Scales, can be discovered. The Basin Dream Island, accessible through the Starmie Doll found in the Bubbly Basin DLC, is particularly rich in these scales.
Acquiring Prism Scales and Unlocking Habitats
The quest for Prism Scales is central to the "Fetching Scales for Feebas" event. These valuable items are primarily found on Dream Islands, which players can visit with the assistance of Drifloon by interacting with a specific doll. Once on a Dream Island, players should diligently search for distinct flat, pink, and blue shell-like objects scattered across the ground. Experience shows that these scales are predominantly located in sandy or beach-like environments, with the Basin Dream Island, accessed via the Starmie Doll in the Bubbly Basin DLC, proving to be a particularly fruitful location for collection.
Once a sufficient number of Prism Scales has been gathered, players can proceed to the Pokémon Center to exchange them for various event-specific items. These items include the Beach Volleyball Set, Sand Bed, Swim Ring, Big Swim Ring, Floating Lantern, and Cooler, each with a different Prism Scale cost. More importantly, these items are essential components for constructing the two exclusive event habitats: the "Exciting Beach" and "Marine Leisure Activities." The Exciting Beach habitat, requiring a Big Swim Ring and a Sand Bed (totaling 20 Prism Scales), attracts Feebas. The Marine Leisure Activities habitat, needing a Beach Volleyball Set, a Cooler, and a Swim Ring (totaling 30 Prism Scales), will attract Milotic. To unlock both habitats, a total of 50 Prism Scales is required, offering players the chance to provide Feebas and Milotic with their ideal themed environments even after the event concludes.
