Emmy Award-winning actors Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller have been selected to reveal the nominations for the upcoming 78th Emmy Awards. This highly anticipated announcement will showcase the breadth of talent and innovation across the television landscape, bringing recognition to both emerging artists and established voices who continue to shape the future of entertainment. The event underscores the Television Academy's commitment to celebrating excellence and fostering creative achievement within the industry.

The nominations ceremony is scheduled for July 8, commencing at 8:30 a.m. PT/11:30 a.m. ET. Enthusiasts and industry professionals can witness the live stream from the distinguished Wolf Theatre, located within the Academy’s Saban Media Center, accessible via Emmys.com/nominations. The esteemed Television Academy chair, Cris Abrego, will preside over the event, guiding viewers through the unveiling of this year’s nominees. Abrego emphasized that the submitted works brilliantly reflect the undiminished creative range and vitality of the medium, acknowledging the critical role these storytellers play in captivating global audiences.

In a recent update, the Television Academy confirmed its decision to announce all nominees simultaneously on July 8. This move departs from an earlier plan to disclose nominations in two separate phases, which would have held back several craft categories until July 15. The unified announcement strategy aims to streamline promotional campaigns for nominated works, providing a more cohesive and impactful launch for all contenders.

Liza Colón-Zayas, acclaimed for her role in 'The Bear,' achieved a significant milestone in 2024 by becoming the first Latina to win the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her exceptional performance has also garnered a SAG Award and two Imagen Awards, alongside nominations for a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice award. Looking ahead, Colón-Zayas is slated to return for the fifth season of 'The Bear' and will appear in forthcoming projects such as 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' alongside Tom Holland, and 'Fleur' with Halle Berry.

Jeff Hiller, recognized for his compelling work in 'Somebody Somewhere,' secured the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2025. His diverse acting portfolio includes appearances in 'Widow’s Bay,' 'Stumble,' 'Pluribus,' 'Elsbeth,' and two seasons of 'American Horror Story.' Beyond acting, Hiller published his memoir, 'Actress of a Certain Age,' in 2025 and recently concluded a successful run of his one-man show, 'Jeff Hiller Is Basic,' having also performed on Broadway and at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.

The 78th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live across the country on Monday, September 14, from 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT on NBC, with simultaneous streaming available on Peacock. Prior to the main event, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards are scheduled to take place on September 5 and 6, honoring outstanding artistic and technical achievements in various television disciplines.

The forthcoming Emmy nominations announcement marks a pivotal moment for the television industry, celebrating the diverse array of talent and groundbreaking content that continues to captivate audiences worldwide. With acclaimed actors Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller leading the reveal, the event promises to highlight the creative achievements and anticipate the excitement of the 78th annual awards ceremony.
